Above average

Last night was one of the worst nights we've had in quite a while. It started really well... Ty and I were hanging out with my sister Chelsea, which is always a joy :) But we didn't end up going to bed until 11:30, far past our typical bed time. Even that wouldn't have been so horrible if we hadn't been woken an hour later by Owen, screaming at the top of his lungs! Neither of us could figure out what was wrong, but after about 40 minutes or so we were able to get him back to sleep. But this kept on all night long. We changed diapers, fed bottles, gave him teething tablets, took his temperature, and finally gave him Tylenol on the off chance that he actually was teething again. I'll admit now that I was adamant that he was NOT teething. After all, he had JUST gotten 3 new teeth on top just a few days ago! Finally at 6am we gave up trying to sleep and brought Owen out into the Living Room again. We leaned him back in my lap, and noticed a new tooth poking through on top! A 4th tooth! A tooth that wasn't even a possibility when he went to bed! There were no swollen gums! No drooling (more than normal at least)! No fever! No runny nose! NO WARNING!!! Oh well... Our 8 month old now has 6 teeth! Does that seem above average to anyone else? :)


On a separate note though... One has to wonder.... do geniuses pick their ears??
