We went to Governor's Island last weekend. Tyson, Chelsea, Owen and I. It was a beautiful day and a fun trip! There was a polo game that day! Prince Harry played in it, and yes we saw him... from afar. We were mainly interested in the horses. Owen LOVES horses. He tried to climb through and over the little fence they had up between the spectators and the horse trailers.
We walked all around the island. It was so beautiful my sister had to do a little dance!
That's the south end of Manhattan.
Owen took a nap during our walk. He wouldn't let go of his foot. Even in his sleep he held fast to it. We couldn't get him to let go, so we just let him sleep that way. :)
Izzy got to go to the big Toys R Us in
Timesquare to ride on the Ferris wheel as his reward for FINALLY being potty trained!!! We rode in the fire engine car. He loved it. Then we walked around the store looking at all the awesome toys I'm too poor to buy. We spent a lot of time at the Thomas model. They played for at least 30 minutes before I told them we needed to go. :(
They have closed off Broadway in
Timesquare to cars! Now they have lawn chairs set up in the middle of the street! LOVE IT!!! We bought a $3 pretzel (UGH) and sat down for a little while before we went home. The boys loved it :)
