catching up

It's been a while since we've posted, so here's a recap of the past few months.
In April we went to Utah for Aunt Heidi's wedding. It was really wonderful It was a beautiful ceremony, Heidi looked flawless, and everything went off without a hitch! Owen had a good time too. He especially loved the wedding reception. There was a staircase that he just couldn't be distracted from, much to my dismay... but a little exercise never hurt anyone :) We were quite pleased with how quickly Owen came around to the family this trip. Last time it took 3 or 4 days for him to warm up to people. This time he was letting Grandma CC and Grandpa Jed play with him within an hour of getting there. It was really a nice trip.
Owen has 4 molars now. He got the first two at 13 months, and the second two at 14 months. The last one was a particularly brutal night. But I have my fingers crossed that this will be it for a little while. It's so funny to me. Some friends of our have a 10 months old that still has no teeth. Owen had 8 by then!
He's started talking a lot more too. He says "Hi", "stinky", "Uh-Oh", "Da-da", "Ma-ma" (though it sounds like "nana" and Tyson is convinced he's calling me "manda" because that's what Izzy calls me...) "big boy", "baby", "up", "down".... and a lot of "Dee". That word seems to mean anything and everything. He signs a lot too. He signs please, thank you, help, more, and eat.
Well, I think that's gonna be it for now. I'm going to try and post some videos I've taken of him recently too. They're taking up space on my phone, and no one gets to see them when they're there!
